The craze of IPL

In India , people are crazy for cricket. It's craze level can be understood as people consider cricket as religion and cricketers as God.

Indian Premier league is a platform where we see our favorite cricketers locking their horns with other giants.

It's truly a blockbuster event that is organised by BCCI. This league is considered as the best T-20 league that ever exist.

And with this year's never ending sorrows where we have faced covid pandemic , lockdown , death of some favourite movie stars , Indian Premier league brings the required excitement in our lives.

The opening match:

 Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians

The opening match was played between MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings and Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians. 

Mumbai Indians innings-

The fans couldn't have asked for more the IPL began with a marvelous boundary by the RoHitman Sharma.

After a brilliant start Mumbai Indians lost wickets in crucial times and finally reached 162/9 in their 20 overs.

Chennai's bad start-

Shane Watson and Murali Vijay opened for Chennai. But shane Watson was dismissed by Trent boult in the first over whereas Murali Vijay was dismissed by James Pattinson in the second over.

The brilliant partnership of Rayudu and Dad du plessis.

After bad start Faf and Rayudu took over the charge and delivered a brilliant partnership of 115 runs. From 6/2 to 121/2 they both really did their job and played a major role in Chennai's victory.

Fifty for Rayudu and Faf du Plessis

While weaving the third wicket partnership for Chennai Rayudu scored a brilliant 71 off 48 balls and then he was dismissed by Rahul Chahar. After Rayudu getting dismissed Faf handled the situation and then went on to score 58 of 44 balls and scored a boundary on the last ball to win the match for Chennai.

Curran's fireworks: Sam Curran awarded man of the match.

For his quick 18 off 6 balls and taking 1 wicket for 28 runs Sam Curran was awarded Man of the Match.

Everyone was waiting for MS Dhoni but in came young Sam Curran and did the job for the team.

Dhoni comes to bat: Survives on the first ball.

Fans wait was over when Thala came to bat when 10 required off 11 balls.

But the first ball he faced , he was given caught behind. But the Dhoni Review System came into action and it clearly showed that there was no bat invoved in the process.

CSK won by 5 wickets.

The most awaited tournament started with the victory for Chennai Super Kings. But the defending champions Mumbai Indians are known for their comebacks.

We will hope to see Mumbai Indians on the winning side when they play their next match.

The second match of the season will be played  tomorrow between Delhi capitals and Kings XI Punjab.
